Symposium on the Environment

April 11 event celebrates the 10-year partnership between the Tufts Institute of the Environment and the Stockholm Environment Institute

In celebration of a decade of partnership between the Tufts Institute of the Environment (TIE) and the Stockholm Environment Institute (SEI), the two organizations are holding a 10th anniversary symposium on the Medford/Somerville campus on April 11.

The Tufts-SEI Nexus Symposium will run from 1 to 6 p.m. in Alumnae Lounge, and feature discussions by researchers from both groups about global issues of water, energy, food, health and climate.

Featured speakers will be Linda Abriola, TIE director and University Professor of Civil and Environmental Engineering, and Annette Huber-Lee, SEI senior scientist, who specializes in economics and engineering for sustainable solutions.

Following two discussion panels and keynote presentations, a poster session and reception will be held, when students and researchers will share their original work and collaborative scholarship.
