Announcing our strategic transformation— Education, research, and communication.
A New Chapter at the Friedman School
Our Strategic Transformation
The Friedman School of Nutrition Science and Policy at Tufts University has always been a beacon of trusted science and a proving ground for future leaders. Since our founding, we have recognized the importance of continuous evolution in both research and education. Innovation, curiosity, and adaptability are core to our identity as scientists, teachers, students, and leaders. And today, as we enter an exciting new phase, we are centering those values again, evolving to address pressing global issues and ensure nutritional wellbeing for the world.
Our strategic transformation is centered on two fundamental tenets: equity and impact. We are increasing access to our world-class education, with more ways than ever to become a Friedman student. With the same commitment to academic rigor and scientific excellence, everyone who enters our doors will emerge ready and able to turn their passion into impact, whether on a farm, in a lab, at city hall or state house, the Capitol Building in Washington DC, the United Nations, or anywhere in between. An updated set of interdisciplinary research themes, showcasing the breadth and depth of our existing expertise in an exciting new way, will create new opportunities to collaborate and strengthen our research impact. Together, we will pioneer new frontiers at the intersection of nutrition and Artificial Intelligence (AI), climate resilience and health, nutrition equity and economic development, and so much more.
