The New Entry Sustainable Farming Project’s community-supported agriculture program makes deliveries on the Medford/Somerville and Boston campuses

The New Entry Sustainable Farming Project, a program of the Friedman School of Nutrition Science and Policy, is again offering its World PEAS community-supported agriculture (CSA) shares this growing season.
Each CSA customer purchases a share of the harvest at the beginning of the season; fresh produce is delivered weekly from June to October. The World PEAS CSA shares include fresh fruits and vegetables from more than 30 immigrant and refugee farmers who work on small-scale farms in eastern Massachusetts.
To ensure that local fresh produce reaches the tables of those who need it most, World PEAS also works with more than a dozen organizations serving low-income clients, as well as with those who don’t have access to enough high-quality food. The group's partners range from child-care agencies, which provide healthy snacks for low-income children, to senior centers supplying home-bound elders with fresh, nutritious produce.
Farm shares are delivered weekly to 18 locations in the greater Boston area. Pickup at Tufts is on Tuesdays at Miller Hall on the Medford/Somerville campus and at the Jaharis Center on the Boston campus. Learn more at www.worldpeascsa.org.
