After earning a B.A. from George Washington University, Taylor McNeil worked as a paralegal, a researcher for a public policy consulting firm, and a program evaluator for the federal government—earning an M.Sc. from the London School of Economics and Political Science along the way. He later turned to writing, working at newspapers and then Boston University, where he was editor of its alumni magazine, before beginning to work at Tufts.
